Mesh doors are fitted in front of your main door, kitchen door or balcony door. You can choose a single door, a double (two-shutter) door for wider openings, or a folding door that pulls and pushes open and closes with a magnetic lock. Frames are aluminium — 1 inch frames for everyday use, 2 inch frames for a sturdier door — and a grill + mesh design adds a security grill behind the mesh.

Mosquito screens for windows

For windows, sleek screen windows use a slim 20 mm aluminium frame, and heavy duty 35 mm frames suit larger windows. If you want a screen you can take off for cleaning, detachable velcro and magnetic screens are the simplest option — velcro screens also suit wooden windows and bathroom windows.

Pleated (plated) sliding screens

Pleated sliding screens fold to the side like an accordion, so they need no space to swing open — ideal for sliding windows, doors and balconies. Which mesh material should you choose?

• Fabric mesh — the most economical option, good for windows that are not touched often.
• Aluminium mesh — stronger than fabric, a good middle option for doors.
• Stainless steel 304 mesh — the most durable choice for main doors, grill doors and balconies, and what we fit onto existing iron grill doors.
